Abstract:

The DIMACS/CCICADA Student-organized Seminar Series and Rutcor will feature
an informal presentation of the research interests of Professor
Patrice Perny of University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris,
France. Professor Perny is visiting DIMACS as a guest of Fred Roberts
from March 28 to April 29, 2011. The event will take place Tuesday,
April 5, 2011 in Room 431 of the CoRE Building from 12 noon till
1pm. There will be time for discussion.

Topics covered concern Algorithmic Decision Theory and will be chosen from:

    * multiobjective combinatorial optimization
    * decision making and planning under uncertainty and risk
    * computational social choice
    * graphical models for preference handling on combinatorial domains
