[16days_discussion] #BringBackOurGirls Solidarity Vigil - Yesterday in Nairobi

16 Days Campaign 16days at cwgl.rutgers.edu
Tue Oct 14 11:57:08 EDT 2014

FYI

Dear All,

Greetings from FEMNET. We hope this finds you well. We wanted to share
some pictures
<https://www.flickr.com/photos/110769476@N07/sets/72157648744083931>
with you from the solidarity vigil Equality Now
<http://www.equalitynow.org>, SOAWR <http://www.soawr.org>, FEMNET
<http://www.femnet.co> and Pawa 254 had yesterday evening in Nairobi to
commemorate six months since over 200 girls were abducted in Chibok,
Nigeria. Six months on, not one girl has been rescued, although over 50
managed to escape.

This was part of the Global Week of Solidarity Action from the 11th to
the 18th called for by our sisters and partners in Nigeria. Join us in
amplifying calls to bring back our girls - now and alive - and for
ensuring that we value the lives of our girls and women enough to make
sure that such an event doesn't happen in the first place, and if it
does - that the response is a serious one that puts the dignity, respect
and justice of people first.

Please do feel free to share any actions that you will be taking. You
can also add your voice to the site: www.femnet.co/bbog
<http://www.femnet.co/bbog>.

Chers Toutes/Tous,

women’s emancipation as an act of charity or because of a surge of human
